The door seal and gaskets vary from model to model, but the replacing process will be quite similar. You have to make sure that a gasket in your hands is for your model. It requires the exact model name and product number. This information can be found on the silver label on the inner side of the door.

To get to the door seal, you have to remove the front panel first. After removing the front panel with a connecting hose, you can see a spring element that holds the gasket on the inside. Be sure to remove the dust and dirt inside the washer.

There are few marks pointing to how the gasket has to be placed. One mark should be “at 6 o’clock” on the drum, and there is a small arrow at the top of the door seal. A word of advice: if you lubricate the edge of the gasket with liquid soap, you will prevent a lot of problems during installation.

I had a washing machine that was having issues. I had previously contacted another company, who took 1.5 hours to diagnose the problem and then inform me that it could not be fixed until late December, and with a smirk, I was handed a quote for the job. I happened to come across this company quite by chance. I booked an appointment time and was sent a text previous to the arrival time to confirm. The technician, John, was amazing. He arrived on time and was extremely conscientious about donning gloves and a mask for safety. I left him to find the problem, but in less than 5 minutes he had a diagnosis. He showed me how to access the error codes on my machine and then continued to explain what the problem was. He had the machine fixed in less than an hour. I was extremely impressed. When chatting, I discovered that he also repairs Samsung appliances. I have called so many companies that refuse to repair these. Again, in very little time, John diagnosed and explained the problem. He not only fixed my fridge but took out all of the food, cleaned out the water from inside, replaced the food, and vacuumed the entire area. The cost of fixing both my washer and my fridge was less than the quote I received from the other company to repair only my washer. The service, expertise, and value are outstanding. I am so happy, I found this company and would highly recommend them.
