Most Common Error Codes For Samsung Appliance
Most Common Error Codes For Samsung Appliance
Samsung Dishwasher Error Codes
Samsung Dishwasher Error Codes
These error code explanations can help you diagnose a problem with your Samsung dishwasher.
4E – No water detected in the tub for 5 minutes after dishwasher started
Ensure that the water supply cut-off valve for the dishwasher is completely open. Unplug the dishwasher and turn off the water supply. Then disconnect the fill line and check the water inlet valve. If the inlet screen is clogged, replace the water valve—don’t just clean the screen, because debris can enter the valve body, causing the valve to remain open, resulting in flooding. Inspect the wiring connections on the water inlet valve and secure any loose connections. If the water valve will not open when activated, replace it.
4E1 – Water entering the dishwasher is greater than 176 degrees
Inspect the temperature of the hot water at your kitchen faucet. If the temperature is over 120 degrees, lower the setting on the water heater. If the water temperature is below 176 degrees, the thermistor (temperature sensor) is defective and needs to be replaced. If the problem persists, replace the main power board assembly (PBA).
tE1 – Thermistor (temperature sensor) error
Unplug the dishwasher and reconnect any loose wires on the thermistor wire harness. Replace the wire harness if it is damaged. If the wire harness is intact, replace the thermistor. If the problem persists, replace the main power board assembly (PBA).
5E – Not draining or not draining quickly enough
Clear any clogs from the sink drain. Unplug the dishwasher and clear clogs from the dishwasher drain hose and drain pump. If the drain pump or the drain hose is damaged, replace it.
oE – Overflow error
Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher to disconnect electrical power. If water continues to fill the tub, replace the water inlet. If filling stops when you disconnect the power, replace the main power board assembly (PBA).
LE – Water leak detected
Check for a water leak under the dishwasher. Inspect the hoses, drain pump and tub. Replace any leaking components.
HE – Heater failure
Unplug the dishwasher and check the wiring connections on the heater. Replace the heater if damaged. If the heater is intact, replace the main power board assembly (PBA).
HE1 – The thermistor (temperature sensor) detects 176 degree water or above in the tub
Unplug the dishwasher or shut off the house circuit breaker to disconnect electrical power. Gently open the dishwasher door and check the temperature of the water in the tub. If the water is close to 176 degrees, the heater relay on the main power board assembly (PBA) is probably stuck in the Closed position; replace the main PBA. If the water is less than 176, the thermistor (temperature sensor) is likely faulty. Replace the thermistor. If the problem persists, replace the main PBA.
9E – Low water level error
Empty any dishes that flipped and are full of water and restart the cycle. Adjust the levelling feet on the dishwasher if it is not level. Reconnect any loose wires on the wire harness for the water level sensor. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wire harness connections are intact, replace the water level sensor.
bE2 – Stuck button on the control panel
Press all the buttons on the control panel to attempt to free up the stuck key. If the key remains stuck, the control panel should be replaced.
PE – Half-load error
Unplug the dishwasher and reconnect any loose wires on the distributor plate motor and micro-switch. Replace the wire harness if damaged. If the wires are intact, replace the distributor motor assembly, which includes the distributor plate motor and micro-switch.
